Founded in 1988 by visionary conductor, composer, and educator Francisco J. Núñez, the Young People’s Chorus of New York City is recognized worldwide for its award-winning performances and spectacular artistry. Praised by The New York Times for their “affecting vocal beauty and impressive skill,” the high-energy choristers perform a special program for the children and families of Napa Valley.
Adults must be accompanied by a child to attend this concert.

Founded by Artistic Director and MacArthur Fellow Francisco J. Núñez, the Young People’s Chorus of New York City (YPC) is a multicultural youth chorus internationally renowned for its superb virtuosity, brilliant showmanship, and innovative model of artistic excellence and diversity that enriches the community.
Francisco J. Núñez, a MacArthur Fellow and Musical America’s 2018 Educator of the Year, is a composer, conductor, and leading figure in music education. In founding the Young People’s Chorus of New York City, Núñez created an awareness of the ability of young people to rise to unforeseen artistic heights.
