A top prize winner at the Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Competition, pianist Steven Lin is earning acclaim as one of the most distinctive and original artists of his generation. He made his debut with the New York Philharmonic at 13-years-old and has appeared as a soloist with the Kansas City Symphony, Fort Worth Symphony, National Symphony Orchestra of Mexico, Western Australian Symphony, Israel Philharmonic, Baltimore Symphony, and San Diego Symphony.
Lin has performed recitals across Europe, Asia, and North America, at venues including the Louvre, the Gasteig in Munich, Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center, Hamarikyu Hall in Tokyo, Shanghai Concert Hall, and the National Concert Halls of Dublin and Taipei. Festival appearances include Bravo! Vail, Aspen, La Jolla SummerFest, New Hampshire Music Festival, WQXR’s Beethoven Marathon, DITTO Festival in Korea, and the Finca World Piano Festival in the Canary Islands.
Lin holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Juilliard, and he earned an Artist Diploma from the Curtis Institute of Music. He has been featured on NPR’s From the Top, WQXR’s Young Artists Showcase, and in the PBS documentary Virtuosity. Since 2024, he has served as Artist in Residence with the Taipei Symphony Orchestra.
