Nicholas Palmquist is an internationally-recognized teacher and choreographer based in New York City. As a freelance dancer, his career spans film, television, and live performance, including In the Heights, Saturday Night Live, The Tonight Show, and the Netflix original series The Get Down. His stage work includes performances with American Dance Machine at the Joyce Theater and the Guggenheim. He has appeared at Radio City Music Hall in the Radio City Summer Spectacular starring the Rockettes and returned to Radio City to perform in the Tony Awards.
Nicholas’s movement and artistry have been featured in numerous publications such as Vogue and Dance Magazine, as well as at the CFDA x Vogue Gala and New York Fashion Week. He has taught masterclasses and workshops at the Juilliard School, Yale University, New York University, American Ballet Theatre, Mozarteum University Salzburg, Universität der Künste Berlin, Palucca University Dresden, and the Joffrey Ballet School, among many others. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Nicholas raised and coordinated thousands of dollars through Instagram to support relationships between dance spaces, artists, and patrons. Teaching online reaffirmed his commitment to accessible, high-quality dance education, and his teaching can now be experienced through the online platform Dance Masterclass.

Melanie Hamrick, Joanna DeFelice, and Christine Shevchenko bring their exhilarating production, A Night at the Ballet, to Napa for the annual Dance Gala. The program features highlights from some of the world's most beloved classical ballets, including Don Quixote, Swan Lake, Les Sylphides, and Carmen. The evening also includes a special appearance by guest artist Nicholas Palmquist, performing in the West Coast premiere of Can't You Hear Me Knocking, set to the music of The Rolling Stones.
