Victoria Thúy Vi McDowell

Victoria Thúy Vi McDowell is a 19-year-old soprano who can sing in 8 languages, as well as play the piano and violin. She is currently a second-year vocal performance music major at San Jose State University. She has a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and was named the “Voice of San Jose, Jr.” by the San Jose City Council for singing the US, Vietnamese, and African American Anthems at San Jose City Hall, stadiums, and many community events. She was just recently renamed by the San Jose City Council as “The Voice of the Capital of Silicon Valley.” In 2016, she traveled to Naples, Italy to perform at Piazza del Plebiscito for the Pasquale Esposito Celebrates Italian Piazzas PBS special. She has been a student of tenor Pasquale Esposito after receiving the Edward Owen Student Scholarship for voice instruction from the non-profit Notable Music and Arts Organization in 2019. Her mature stage presence and incredible artistry bring audiences to their feet with each and every performance.
