Kenneth Novack

Ken Novack is Chief Executive Officer of MMGL Corp., a privately held investment firm. MMGL (formerly known as Schnitzer Investment Corporation) is engaged in the real estate development business directly and through Schnitzer West, and the ocean transportation business through Liberty Shipping Group.

Ken also served as Chairman of Schnitzer Steel Industries, Liberty Shipping Group, and Lasco Shipping. He was a partner in the law firm of Ball Janik & Novack from 1982 to 1991.

Ken is currently a member of the boards of Eisenhower Medical Center, Bridge Housing, Claremont McKenna College, California College of the Arts, California Pacific Medical Center, and the Lowe Institute for Political Economy. He also serves on the Advisory Board of the Kravis Leadership Institute.

Ken received a B.A. from Claremont Men’s College and a J.D. from the University of Southern California, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif.

Ken joined Festival Napa Valley’s Board of Directors in 2020. Together with his wife Deborah, Ken underwrites Festival Napa Valley’s annual Novack Concerts for Kids, a series of free concerts for children and students designed to nurture a lifelong love of music.
