The Joel Revzen Conducting Prize is a summer residency and career development grant awarded annually by Festival Napa Valley in memory of Maestro Joel Revzen.

Alek Shrader is an opera tenor, director, and screenwriter. He has performed Ferrando in Cosi fan tutte with Opera de Oviedo in Spain, sang David in Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg with the San Francisco Opera, and Alfredo in La traviata with Opera Philadelphia, among many other roles. He also appeared in The Audition, a documentary about the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions.

Maureen Zoltek is an accomplished music professional currently serving as the Head of Music Staff and Music Director for the Sarah & Ernest Butler HGO Studio at Houston Grand Opera since September 2022. Zoltek has been a Vocal Institute Faculty member at the Music Academy of the West since June 2018.
Soprano Andriana Chuchman has appeared at countless international opera houses and concert halls. A graduate of the Lyric Opera of Chicago’s Ryan Opera Center and San Francisco Opera’s Merola Program, her many accolades include the Opera Theater of St. Louis’s Mabel Dorn Reeder Award and a Sullivan Foundation Encouragement Award.
Taste of Napa guests can sample fare from wineries, breweries, restaurants, and culinary artisans, as well as craft beverages. The Reserve Tasting Salon offers exclusive premium wine tastings and special treats in a private setting.
2025 Joel Revzen Conducting Prizewinner
Neapolitan conductor Clelia Cafiero currently serves as Principal Guest Conductor at the Opéra de Tours. She first came to international attention with her summer 2023 debut at the Chorégies d’Orange where she led the Orchestre National de Lyon in Carmen.
2025 Maria Manetti Shrem Daniel Brewbaker Composer Prizewinner
Forrest Eimold has had his works premiered by renowned ensembles such as the Choir of Trinity Wall Street, Ensemble Dal Niente, Fonema Consort, Mivos Quartet, and Wet Ink Ensemble. His writing embraces our quantized environment in the hopes of pointing to the unbound world latent within it.
American composer and educator Daniel M. Brewbaker (1951-2017) was one of the most esteemed artists of his generation. His first composition, Psalm 39, premiered in 1970 at the University of Illinois, beginning a body of work that grew to nearly 60 compositions, establishing his place among preeminent contemporary American composers. His music reflected his deeply spiritual and somewhat mystical nature, communicated to the listener with powerful effect.

[INVALID]The Darioush and Shahpar Khaledi Prize for Excellence and Innovation in Classical Music honors Festival Napa Valley’s Founding Board Chairman Darioush Khaledi and his wife Shahpar. The annual prize recognizes an artist or ensemble who exemplifies outstanding artistry, creativity, and leadership and includes a $10,000 cash award as well as performance opportunities during the summer season.

Returning to the Festival stage by popular demand, the Vitamin String Quartet blends cutting-edge renditions of classical, rock, and pop. With over 2 billion streams and counting, the quartet is currently one of the most popular contemporary string ensembles in the world, familiar to many for their music on Netflix’s hit series Bridgerton.

Ming Luke guest conducts Festival Orchestra Napa in a fun and informative concert of favorites to showcase the full range orchestra instruments. Young audience members will be introduced to the various elements of music including dynamics, tempo, texture, and form and will experience a pre-concert Instrument Petting Zoo presented in collaboration with the Napa Valley College Music Department and Napa Valley Education Foundation's Music Connection program.
