Art has the unique power to reveal the world in a new light — inviting us to look again at what we thought we knew. This season, we celebrate that spirit of rediscovery — where tradition meets imagination, and the familiar is transformed into something fresh, bold, and unexpected.
You might find it in a hauntingly beautiful score by Ennio Morricone, reimagined by Festival Orchestra Napa and conductor Clelia Cafiero. Or in the artistry of Jon Batiste, whose rendition of The Star-Spangled Banner transforms our national anthem with soul, urgency, and vision. Perhaps you’ll rediscover the delight of Walt Disney’s classic Fantasia when it’s paired with a live orchestra, turning nostalgia into something new. Or in Donizetti’s La Fille du régiment, where dazzling costumes by Christian Lacroix merge timeless opera with fashion’s cutting edge.
Artists reimagine, reinterpret, and reinvent. That spirit runs throughout the valley. Vintners push boundaries, blending tradition with innovation to craft exceptional wines. Chefs create dishes as imaginative as they are unforgettable, each one a reflection of place, season, and artistry. And as always, nature sets the stage: golden hills, blushing vines, and a sky sprinkled with stars.
This same spirit drives the Festival forward. We’ve created a constellation of programs that support young artists and strengthen the arts and education, offering opportunities for emerging talents to grow, perform, and be inspired. Full of promise, the next generation keeps us energized and reminds us of the limitless possibilities ahead.
So whether you marvel at a young artist taking the stage for the first time or feel the joy of connection while raising a glass with friends – old and new – it’s in these moments, both grand and intimate, and the discoveries they bring, that Festival Napa Valley reveals its magic. We couldn’t do it without you.
Thank you for joining us.
