Founders Dinner at Bouchaine Vineyards

Invitation Only

Tatiana and Gerrett Copeland know a thing or two about nurturing the growth of something special—be it a new wine label or a talented young artist.

The Copelands bring their passion, generosity, and commitment to this year’s Founders Dinner, celebrating the benefactors and patrons whose enthusiasm, vision, and support launched Festival Napa Valley 15 years ago, as well as major supporters of the 2020 season.

Guests will join the Copelands at their stunning, sustainable estate in the Carneros district of Napa Valley. A sumptuous welcome reception will unfold in the spectacular new Bouchaine Visitor Center, crafted from reclaimed redwood and set among breathtaking views of the vineyards and heritage winery building below. Dinner will be paired with Bouchaine’s vibrant wines, including their newest label, Crescendo, released to honor and support the musicians of the Festival’s Bouchaine Young Artist Series.

Completing the evening is a performance by the award-winning ensemble Russian Renaissance, a dazzling young quartet devoted to traditional Russian instruments and heralded for its vibrant, modern interpretations of musical styles from classic to jazz, from tango to folk.

In 2019, Bouchaine launched a new label: Crescendo. Proceeds help fund scholarships and performing opportunities for the talented young musicians in the Bouchaine Young Artist Series, the Festival’s popular, admission-free series sponsored by the Copelands. Crafted by winemaker Chris Kajani, Crescendo –whose label is inspired by the artwork of Festival Napa Valley’s Crescendo magazine – features two wines: a rich, palate-pleasing Chardonnay, and a silky, strawberry-scented Pinot Noir.

Crossover quartet Russian Renaissance brings traditional Russian folk music to another level. Since making its debut in October 2015, live-scoring with world-renowned director and Cannes Film Festival laureate Emir Kusturica, the quartet has gone on to win accolades for its high-profile appearances in Russia, the United States, Serbia, and Japan.

Bouchaine Vineyards

Bouchaine, owned by festival major benefactors Tatiana and Gerret Copeland, began making wine long before the Carneros region earned its reputation for producing great Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Bouchaine continues today to apply common-sense sustainable practices to making interesting, layered wines with sensual delight. The winery’s beautiful façade is made from recycled redwood from the winery’s original wine tanks.
